As we get closer to the inauguration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, we at MapmyIndia are excited to participate in the rich cultural legacy of Shri Ram and His teachings. We have always been enthusiastic about Shri Ram and the stories, lessons and history associated with Him, and this even reflects in the range of products we offer on Mappls Sanskriti.
As many may know, we offer a cultural and educational map by the name of ‘Ramayan Art – A Journey on Canvas’ that doubles as a beautiful and eye-catching art piece that you can proudly display wherever you may wish to, be it your home or office. This map traces the journey of our Maryada Purshottama, Shri Ram–from birth to establishing Ram Rajya–with great geographical accuracy on a beautiful textured canvas with antique-style calligraphy. It is a matter of great pride to us to be able to make a humble contribution to documenting the fascinating and enriching history of Shri Ram, who has been and continues to be a most essential part of the Indian cultural fabric. The map displays erstwhile entities in their original names as well as their current ones, allows one to view the scale in kilometres as well as yojanas, and is overall a great resource for children and adults alike to learn more about the story of the Ramayana and all the key locations associated with it.
Apart from this, MapmyIndia has also created an incredibly immersive and stunning 3D metaverse of Ayodhya, titled ‘Ayodhya RealVerse’ which allows users to visit more than 30 important sites (especially Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir) in the sacred city from the comfort of their own homes.
We are also working with local authorities, namely the Uttar Pradesh Police and the Ayodhya Police to facilitate ease-of-access to Ayodhya for those traveling to the city for this momentous occasion. Together with the UP Police and Ayodhya Police, Mappls App will be informing users about safety alerts, traffic alerts, any route closures due to VIP movements, and green mapping of corridors for easy entry to Ayodhya along with many more useful features. We regularly collaborate with local authorities to help with the management of traffic and crowds, as we recently joined forces with Punjab Police to help out with mapping black spots. We also worked with the Delhi Police earlier in 2023 during the G20 summit to help citizens avoid road closures and VIP areas.
Finally, we are also allowing users of Mappls App to post a diya or ‘Ram Jyoti’ on the map from their homes in honour of the inauguration of the temple! This is a great way to get the entire collective involved in such a major event and enjoy this occasion regardless of their distance from Ayodhya.
