Mappls SDKs help Nissan map accident blindspots to make Indian roads safer for everyone.

Blind spots emerge as one of the major killers in India

In a bid to make Indian roads safer by identifying and eliminating blind spots in your area, which are one of the biggest causes of road deaths in the country, Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd has joined hands with Solve foundation's IRSC & Mappls to launch - 'Blind Spot Awareness Campaign'.

This new initiative includes mapping blind spots, creating a road safety audit, and surveys with bus drivers, government officials, and engineers. The campaign was started on February 4, 2022, with a mass media 'call to action' for crowdsourced data collected and pinned on a digital map by Mappls. Once the final data is collected, with support from the government, the blind spots will be marked following a formal verification by IRSC, including a physical inspection. The stakeholders will be trained to turn them into safe spots.
